Hours: Mon-Fri 3pm- 9pm Sat 12pm- 8pm Sun 1pm- 5pm Ages: 7th grade and above - Everyday 5th grade and above- Tues, Thurs, & Sat All kids are welcome in the Youth Center; however an adult needs to accommodate any child not meeting these grade requirements. Entertainment: Wi-Fi, Stereo (IPad/IPod compatible), 3 X-Boxes, GameFly subscription (Netflix for video games), pool tables, fooseball table, ping pong table, computers, lounge area, and a concession stand Programs: Teen Leaders Club: A service oriented club that aims to develop the character of today’s youth. This club has events throughout the year hosted by other YMCA’s as well as our own. The Teen Leaders also help out at the Special Olympics every year at Ohio State University. Grades: 7th – 12th grade Meetings: Mondays at 5:30pm Thursdays at 3:30pm Leaders need to attend one meeting per week (unless restricted by school sports participation) and perform 65 volunteer hours per year to remain part of the program. Youth Center Council: A business minded club that aims to improve the Youth Center through fund-raising and peer involvement. The youth in this club are responsible for social networking, our X-Boxes and video games, events and activities and Treasury. This club starts out with $500.00 to invest in their ideas and ultimately make money to reinvest in the Youth Center. Grades: 7th – 12th grade Meetings: Thursdays at 4:30pm Activities & Events: Guitar Lessons: Youth members can learn how to play the guitar from their own peers. Two local high school kids will be instructing. Bring your own guitar if you have one. Date/Time: Every Wednesday 6:15-7:15 5th Quarter: A safe place for local teens to hang out at after the Varsity Boys Basketball home games on Friday evenings. There will be music, dancing, and plenty of other activities.
