THE “FESTIVAL OF TREES” HELPS MAKE IT HAPPEN
The YMCA is a not for profit charity focusing on improving our community’s standard of living, learning and thriving.
Membership and program fees at the Defiance Area YMCA do not cover all the costs to support these vital community programs. To ensure that no one is denied a chance to participate because of inability to pay, we truly need your help.
Our community has needs, and the Y remains a central means to meeting them. We’ve always known that positive change only comes about when we invest in our kids, our health and our neighbors. And that’s why we’re here.
We have three areas of focus:
Youth Development, because young people need caring adults to provide support, guidance and encouragement as they grow.
Healthy Living, because wellness in spirit, mind and body strengthens our very being, and enhances our interactions with others.
Social Responsibility, because we are truly in this together, and together we can harness our individual strengths and bring about positive change around us.
YMCA donations last year helped 175 families experience the positive effects of YMCA programs and activities. Our success will always be measured by the lives we touch.
